COSPAR Who?
COSPAR is the collective of unions and political associations of the meeting charged with defending the interests of Reunion. What
claims on?
The group claims a 20% reduction on 500 consumer goods, and therefore calls on supermarkets to rethink its heading at the Meeting.
What is wrong?
We can summarize these events into three parts:
- Saturday, March 21, in the morning, activists from COSPAR proceeded to block a hypermaché Jumbo Score "of the Port. (Dam was lifted at midday).
- In the afternoon, COSPAR has conducted a similar action at the entrance of the Leclerc supermarket Palisade.
- Sunday, March 22, members of the group drew up a dam to block the access of vehicles on the apron of Carrefour Saint-Clotilde. With the agreement of the management of Carrefour, the demonstrators entered the mall store and were able to express the reasons for their action. Members of the group left the scene in the quiet mid-day.
Result?
The supermarket is proposed implement reductions of 5 to 14% with 80 items produced locally third.
To go further.
What you should know is that the blockade caused no disturbance of public order. Local people strongly sountenu this movement. Despite this great success, only 20% of the population was consulted on the choice of products to be affected by these cuts.
What is sad is that our overseas departments are affected by the crisis with such virulence, causing such an impact on consumption they are forced to do their own lobbying to lower prices.
